Club Structure

Welcome to Valley View Riders (VVR), a vibrant community of equine enthusiasts! Founded in 1969, VVR is dedicated to providing recreational horseback riding opportunities and equine education to its members. With around 125 members from the Portland metro area, including Hillsboro, Canby, Oregon City, Tigard, Tualatin, Beaverton, and Molalla, you'll find a diverse and passionate group of horse lovers.

Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, VVR invites anyone over 18 to join and be a part of their exciting activities. Here's what you can expect:

- Monthly meetings at Winona Grange Hall in Tualatin, with socializing and food starting at 6:30 PM and the meeting at 7:00 PM. Our meetings are a great way to connect with fellow horse enthusiasts and stay informed about upcoming events. You can expect:

    - Informative speakers on various equine topics, such as horse care, riding techniques, and equine health

    - Discussions about upcoming events, including camping trips, group trail rides, and clinics in the area

    - Planning and organization for our annual awards banquet and other social gatherings

    - Short, fun activities that help us get to know each other better, such as horse-themed games, trivia, or icebreaker exercises

    - Opportunities to share your own experiences, ask questions, and learn from others in a supportive and friendly environment

- Access to a private Facebook group where members share information, inspiration, and interests

- A range of fun activities, including:

    - Multiple camping trips to explore new trails and enjoy the great outdoors with your horse

    - "Sunday Funday" riding meetings, where members can push their horses and themselves in a fun non-competitive atmosphere

    - Group trail rides, which offer a chance to explore new trails and enjoy the company of other horse enthusiasts

    - Clinics and workshops, where you can learn new skills and improve your riding abilities

    - An annual awards banquet, where we celebrate our members' achievements and enjoy a night of food, friends, and fun
